Hyundai Motor America is making strategic moves to solidify its position as a leader in product innovation and market execution. In a key leadership announcement, the company has promoted Andrew Franceschini to vice president, product line management, a promotion that took effect on September 1, 2025.
In his new, elevated role, Franceschini will be at the helm of Hyundai’s entire product lineup, a critical position that oversees product portfolio management and the readiness of new vehicles for market. He will continue to report to Claudia Márquez, the company’s chief operating officer.
This promotion is a testament to Franceschini’s strategic vision and a reflection of his proven track record since joining Hyundai in 2018. Having initially served in market research and corporate strategy, he was instrumental in establishing and growing the product line management division, first as a director in 2020 and then as an executive director. His expertise has not gone unnoticed, as he was recognized as an Automotive News Rising Star in 2019 for his outstanding talent and leadership in the industry.
As vice president, Franceschini will lead a team of subject matter experts dedicated to refining Hyundai’s go-to-market strategies. His responsibilities will include:
- Product Positioning and Pricing: Ensuring each vehicle is strategically placed in the market with competitive pricing.
- Incentive and Inventory Management: Optimizing incentives and managing inventory to meet market demands and support sales goals.
- Competitive Analysis: Keeping a finger on the pulse of the industry by analyzing the competition.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Fostering collaboration across various departments to support the company’s ambitious goals for sales growth, market share expansion, and profitability.

Prior to his tenure at Hyundai, Franceschini honed his skills in leadership roles at a number of prominent organizations, including Toyota, GfK Automotive, RAPP LA, and J.D. Power. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business and sociology from the University of San Diego and an MBA from the University of California, Irvine.
This strategic promotion underscores Hyundai’s commitment to building a forward-thinking and highly skilled leadership team, ensuring the company is well-equipped to navigate the complexities of a rapidly evolving automotive landscape.
