You get ZER01NE Day 2025, a festival celebrating imagination and groundbreaking ideas. Running from September 17 to 21 in Seoul, this year’s event is all about exploring the frontiers of creativity, from artificial intelligence to the future of space.
Welcome to ZER01NE’s Orbit
Held at the Hyundai Seongsu Complex Hub, ZER01NE Day 2025 will operate under the theme ‘ZER01NE 0RB1T.’ This concept symbolizes how creators, startups, and Group employees move along their own paths but interact and connect to create something new. It’s a universe of ideas, with each project, person, and team acting as a dynamic force shaping the future of AI, robotics, and mobility.
“ZER01NE Day is a stage where participants freely experiment and embrace new challenges,” said Kyuseung Keith Noh, Vice President and Head of ZER01NE Group at Hyundai Motor Group. “Through this festival, we look forward to showcasing the innovative outcomes curated by ZER01NE’s creative talents and sharing their imaginative visions with the public.”
Where Creativity and Tech Collide
This year’s festival will feature eight creator-led projects that blur the lines between art and technology, showcasing how AI and robotics are reshaping our daily lives. Highlights include:
- SystemDesign LAB: Watch as six robots work together to assemble and disassemble chairs in a choreographed performance.
- Collective Bremen Musicians: Experience how the sound of satellite signals can be transformed into data that brings sculptural objects to life.
- Psients x Jeffrey Jehwan Kim: A project that turns the fascinating process of bacteria breaking down old vinyl records into a unique musical experience.
But the innovation doesn’t stop there. The ZER01NE Lab will present joint projects created through collaboration between artists and Hyundai Motor and Kia teams. These include Lunar Commons City, an ambitious vision for future lunar life, and Parallel City, which explores the intersection of cars, architecture, and living spaces using the Kia PV5 as its centerpiece.
A new initiative, ZER01NE Lab Ignite, will also feature GenAI in Mobility, an interactive project where visitors can see how generative AI is evolving from a simple tool into a true partner in the driving experience.
Startups on the Rise
Beyond the art and design projects, ZER01NE Day is a showcase for real-world innovation. Six Korean startups will present their breakthrough technologies, including:
- Mobinn: Autonomous delivery robots ready to streamline last-mile logistics.
- ROAI: AI-powered robotic process automation to supercharge business efficiency.
- Softberry: Innovative solutions for EV charging, payment, and vehicle management.
Five overseas startups from Hyundai CRADLE, the Group’s global open innovation hub, will also join the exhibition, highlighting the company’s worldwide search for promising new technologies.
