Kia is making a powerful statement at IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich, reinforcing its commitment to the electric vehicle (EV) market with a comprehensive lineup of new and upcoming models. The event marks the European public debut of the highly anticipated Kia EV5, along with several other exciting additions to the brand’s electric portfolio.
Held from September 9 to 14, the world’s largest mobility exhibition provides the perfect stage for Kia to highlight its leadership in electrification. Under the theme “Windows of Inspiration,” the brand’s open-air display presents a stunning showcase of its EV family, including the EV5, Concept EV2, EV3, EV4, new EV6 GT, EV9 GT, and the innovative PV5. Visitors can also get behind the wheel for a test drive of the EV3, new EV6, new EV6 GT, and EV9.

The EV5 Takes Center Stage
The spotlight of Kia’s presence is the European debut of the Kia EV5, a fully electric C-SUV designed for modern families and active lifestyles. Built on the advanced E-GMP platform, the EV5 seamlessly blends bold SUV design with a versatile interior that creates a lounge-like atmosphere. With an estimated range of up to 530 km, 30-minute fast charging, and impressive towing capacity, the EV5 is set to bring everyday practicality and outdoor versatility to the mainstream.
A Glimpse into the Future
The exhibition also offers a look at Kia’s future direction with the display of the Concept EV2 and the EV4. The Concept EV2, a compact B-segment SUV, previews a production model set to launch next year, embodying Kia’s vision for innovative urban mobility. The EV4, meanwhile, broadens consumer choice within the electrified C-segment with a range of up to 625 km (WLTP) and rapid charging capabilities.

Electrifying Performance
Performance enthusiasts have plenty to get excited about as well. Kia is showcasing two high-performance EVs: the new EV6 GT and the EV9 GT. The EV6 GT is Kia’s most dynamic EV to date, delivering 650 PS of power and a 0 to 100 km/h time of just 3.5 seconds. The EV9 GT, the most powerful SUV Kia has ever produced, boasts 508 PS and can hit 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds, all while maintaining a strong range.

Redefining Mobility
Kia’s innovation extends beyond the consumer market with the PV5, which marks the brand’s entry into the Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) market. On display in its Passenger variant, the PV5 is the first dedicated PBV (Purpose Built Vehicle) model from Kia. Its unique building block architecture allows for up to 16 different variants, demonstrating Kia’s ambition to redefine modular and flexible electric mobility for a variety of applications.
According to Charles Ryu, Head of Global Brand & Customer Experience Division, “Our return to IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich marks an important milestone, reaffirming our commitment to sustainable mobility and strengthening our presence in Europe’s rapidly growing EV market.”
